“Peace Should be Learned in Childhood” (2024)

Illustration for The Sixth Edition of the Illustration Exhibition “Peace Should be Learned in Childhood” (2024)

I think peace is something everyone on this planet deserves. I think of peace as the opposite of war, but also the opposite of fighting, conflict, rushing, or noise. I wish people could live in peace with each other and also the animals, plants, and nature as a whole. Oftentimes I find it impossible. With all the news we hear every day, of children being killed, minorities being discriminated against, women being oppressed… Sometimes it seems the only thing we can do is find some peace within ourselves. I have a privilege that I know many lack. I live in a country that is not at war and is safe. I can find tranquility in its beautiful nature. I wish everyone had that choice. To be safe, in the arms of Mother Earth.
